The Guild Season 4, Episode 1 “Epic Guilt”

Uncategorized

The Guild Season 4 Episode 1 with Felicia DayYay – After months of waiting!

Felicia Day and The Guild have had an enormous influence on us wanting to make web video. Ever since I started blogging I have been a fan of just how much Felicia has achieved. She really is an inspiration, a role model and all-round nice person. I frequently write about The Guild and people connected to it on my blog, the last geek bus home, because they are very newsworthy – and today the news is – EPISODE 1  OF SEASON 4 IS OUT NOW! Here it is:

Behind The Scenes….

One of the reasons we did the “Behind The Scenes of The Guild Season 4 with Higlet” series was because the idea really really amused us. But there was something else. The Guild is released on MSN/Xbox Live first and only onto YouTube later. That doesn’t stop people searching for The Guild on YouTube, though, and usually it goes to RickRolls (I’m looking at you, “watchtehguild”) or rips from MSN. The Guild is sponsored by Microsoft and the views need to be counted by them because it helps funding.

How does the Higlet stuff help?

When people search for The Guild Season 4 on YouTube now, our videos come up near the top. I’ve updated all the information on the videos with a direct link to Season 4 Episode 1 and an annotation that directs people to watchtheguild.com. Hopefully people will find our videos and then click off to the real Season 4 of The Guild.

The REAL Behind The Scenes

And if you want the real deal in Behind The Scenes of The Guild, you need to be listening to the Knights of The Guild podcast, the Official Fan Podcast for The Guild. Each week they are going to be doing a CompanionCast stuffed full of snippets, info and gossip direct from the set – the actual, real set. The first one is out tomorrow, so look out for that!

Higlet Behind The Scenes Gag Reel now up!

webseries

The real Sean Becker or not? This may or may not be the real Sean Becker on The Guild S4 set…

So then – the end!

With just over a week to wait until The Guild Season 4 airs, it is time to wrap up our exclusive behind the scenes look with a gag reel. We had a lot of fun making these videos and hope you’ve enjoyed them. It certainly helped pass the time while waiting for Season 4!

Summer hiatus

We’ll be taking a break from regular weekly uploads over the summer while we work on “Project X” – a brand new, original webseries what will be hitting your intertubes in Autumn. Never fear – we won’t be gone completely, though! We’ll be posting updates on progress here regularly and you can be sure that there’ll be some new videos, too – no way we’ll be able to resist that. In the meantime we’ll be posting links to our older videos here every week – a chance to relive the humour of the Evil League of Evil Applications Processing Office plus some selected extras.

Thank you to everyone who has favourited, subscribed, commented and replied to our videos. It really does make it all worth while to know that people are enjoying them. Don’t forget you can:

Higlet BTS of The Guild Season 4: At Home with The Bruisers!

webseries

At Home with The Bruisers mini seriesAggro – who needs it?

Probably no one. But if you needed someone to bring it, you need look no further than Bruiser, the testosterone-hyped tough guy of the Axis of Anarchy. Season 3 of The Guild introduced us to many new and wonderful characters but Bruiser was one of my favourites because is was so totally and completely OTT ALL THE TIME!  From the moment he danced his jig of inyourface and spat “DEAL WITH IT!!!” at Vork in the first episode of S3, J Teddy Garces had me mesmorized. He brought so much presence and physicality to the screen.

All aggro, all the time?

And it got us thinking. Would Bruiser be like that all the time? In a totally domestic setting would he still be only one step away from full-on Hulk mode? Lucky for us we don’t have to wonder any more. Higlet has brought us these stolen acquired home videos from Bruiser’s household….

J Teddy Garces has a YouTube channel, jteddygarces,  And the Knights of The Guild recently featured some pictures of Teddy. It doesn’t look like Teddy is on Twitter yet but hopefully he will be soon!

More from Greg Benson

The last part of my interview with Greg Benson is also up now on PinkRaygun.com:

I tried to keep as much of the interview as I could but did I have to cut some things out (and don’t ask about Chat Roulette…). I have put a bonus video up, where Greg gives some tips to aspiring producers. And I HIGHLY recommend checking out Greg’s most recent video, “Who’s on First”. It is a tour de force of hilarity (with much bleeped swearing):

At the end are links to bonus videos that show the writing and filming process that are fascinating. I Don’t Know Who would want to miss that!
